Andrew Hines Wins at Southern Nationals in Commerce, GA
Andrew Hines, the top qualifier for the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals at Atlanta Dragway in Commerce, Georgia, went on to win the event. Hines ran his Harley Davidson to 6.946 second E.T. at 191.4 MPH to defeat Chip Ellis in the final round. Chip's Suzuki ran a 6.958 second E.T. at 190.7 MPH. The win by Hines propels him into the Pro Stock Motorcycle points lead, with a 25 point advantage over Matt Guidera.

McBride gets deal for the next three races
NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle rookie Angie McBride and Indicom Electric have signed a sponsorship deal for the next three NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series races. McBride, who sits seventh in the POWERade Championship point standings, has been searching for a sponsor for the 2008 season in an effort to continue her first full season in the NHRA.

AHDRA “Old Glory” Pro Stock Championship bike in 2005 for sale
The Old Glory AHDRA Pro Stock / Pro Gas Buell motorcycle has been listed for sale on eBay. The bike was owned by Jim "Homer" Simpson, who passed away earlier this year. The bike ran a record ET of 7.399 seconds at the 2005 Kresto Pacific Nationals, Pacific Raceways, Seattle. The pilot of this bike was Dale Raudenbush.
